The Director of Business Development is instrumental in driving the growth and expansion of our organization. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to increase revenue, expand market reach, and build partnerships. The key goals for this position are to create active pipelines of new client referrals for the company while establishing and maintaining the organization's position within the market as a provider of quality clinical services. This position reports directly to the President and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our business objectives.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- **Client Acquisition**: Lead efforts to acquire new clients and partnerships through targeted outreach, networking and relationship building with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and community organizations. Conduct outreach activities including but not limited to cold calls, meetings, lunch & learns, and educational presentations. Develop active referral pipelines of potential new clients and proactively evaluate pipelines to ensure recurring referrals across assigned territory.
- **Market Analysis**: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential referral sources, emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for expansion. Ongoing monitoring of industry competitors and emerging trends to assist in company decisions to expand in response to community needs.
- **Community Outreach**: Represent the company at community events including resource fairs, conferences, and advocacy events such as walks or fundraisers. Create and execute public-facing educational campaigns around new company service offerings.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate closely with internal teams to encourage participation in community and outreach.
- **Partnership Development**: Build and maintain relationships with a variety of external stakeholders including pediatricians, diagnosticians, non-profits, educational institutions, advocates, funders, and other potential referral sources. Communicate with external stakeholders about company services, changes to offered services, new market expansions, etc.
- **Strategic Planning**: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and market opportunities. Maintain a working knowledge of the company's continuum of services and practices, relevant health insurance requirements, and industry-specific knowledge. Assist in creation of marketing materials and digital content as necessary and requested.
- **Performance Metrics**: Meet key metrics as established by leadership. Maintain records of account relationships, interactions, and activities in CRM or tracking system. Produce reports at regularly scheduled intervals or as requested by leadership.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, Business, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of education).
- Travel throughout Houston required up to 75% of the time. Occasional travel outside the Houston area as requested.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in community outreach, relational sales, or business development in healthcare, social services, or behavior health.
- Experience in CRM or practice management systems.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Excellent customer service skills.
- A "people person" who enjoys meeting and engaging with new people on a regular basis.
