**Position Summary**:
The radiology patient access rep performs a wide variety of detail-oriented duties in the process of arriving and registering patients in the radiology dept.

**Location**:680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA

**Department**: Radiology Admin

**This is a full-time 40-hour/ week position**

**Responsibilities**:

- May be called upon to schedule patient appointments.
- Uses independent judgment, and ingenuity and is self-motivated.
- The duties require knowledge of procedures and policies related to the Radiology Department and function as a team player.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
- Schedules appointments for imaging and other procedures as assigned.
- Checks for payers’ prior authorization requirements, and validates active coverage.
- Manages incoming phone calls in a positive professional manner.

**Experience/Technical/Other**:
**Experience**:1-year experience in medical or customer service working environment, radiology experience preferred. Medical Terminology

**Software/Hardware**:Nextbar, Evicore, and Meditech experience preferred.

Pay: $19.57 - $23.57 per hour
