Job Description:

- The Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and Master of Education (MEd) Programs oversees all components of these programs. The Director serves as the primary liaison among the faculty and students in these programs. The Director receives support and assistance from the Director of the Graduate Programs in Education (GPE), graduate advisors, and the MAT internship coordinator. This position requires work on weekends and/or evenings.
- Essential Job Functions:

- 35% A. Coordinate staffing, scheduling courses, and hiring of adjunct faculty in the MAT and MEd programs. Oversee maintenance of both programs’ documents and course materials with assistance from the Director of GPE.
- 30% B. Coordinate the advisement process and advise students primarily in the MAT program (with some advising for the MEd program). Provide support for graduate admission review and provide support to monitor students’ progress in both programs.
- 10% C. Oversee the graduate advisors and the MAT Internship Coordinator.
- 10% D. Act as an alternate representative for both programs at federal, state, and local meetings, as well as participate in recruitment efforts for both programs with the Director of GPE. Assist the Director of GPE, the Accreditation Coordinator, and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness with required federal and state reporting for both programs.
- 5% E. Assist in budget and grant processes to provide services and offset MAT and MEd program costs.
- 5% F. Coordinate graduation clearances for students in the MAT and MEd programs.
- Non-Essential Functions:

- Required: Master’s Degree in Education- Preferred: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education- Professional Experience:
- Required: Two years of experience in undergraduate/graduate education programs. Three years of experience in K-12 education.- Preferred: Three years of experience in undergraduate/graduate education programs. Five years experience in K-12 education.Job Category:
