Human Resources Generalist

**General Summary**

The Human Resources Generalist position will provide human resources support for our employee base, with a strong focus on hourly workforce, including oversight of staffing agencies, day-to-day employee relations, benefits, new hire orientations, employee events, and support of major HR projects including open enrollment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provides day-to-day knowledge and guidance regarding employment issues
- Provides oversight of temporary staffing agencies for hourly recruitment
- Supports compliance with government mandated procedures (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.)
- Coordinates background checks, physicals, drug screens and other pre-employment testing
- Investigates and resolves questions and claim issues for employees
- Responds to information requests related to workers compensation claims
- Handles all new hire orientations including scheduling new hire introductions
- Interprets and communicates adherence to all provisions of company policies and labor law
- Provides oversight of employee ERP and HRIS systems
- Other duties as assigned

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business or communications required. SHRM certification preferred.

**Experience**
- 3 plus years of progressive human resources experience required
- Manufacturing experience preferred

**Skills & Abilities**
- Bilingual proficiency, English/Spanish, preferred
- Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and enjoy working with a diverse employee base
- Must have strong Microsoft Suite skills
- Must have experience working with an ERP and HRIS system
- Knowledge of HR regulations such as FMLA, FLSA, HIPPA, etc. is required
- Knowledge of current HR and labor relations trends, and upcoming regulations
- Should be highly organized, and be a self-starter who is able to prioritize and carry out multiple functions
- Knowledge of manufacturing organization structure, policies and procedures preferred
