Job Overview:
- Responsibilities:
- Plan production schedules based on customer order requirements, working closely with purchasing and production teams, to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor capacity and initiate manufacturing outsourcing as needed while strictly adhering to expense control.
- Perform planning to strategize equipment support and allocation to optimize capacity.
- Monitor daily work order fulfillment in accordance to plan schedule and coordinate with facility management for any schedule deviations to ensure corrective action plans are taken immediately to resolve issues.
- Responsible for the Pump Status Report
- Assist Supervisor with RFQ information that is needed to complete quotes.
- Prepare Inspection Packets and computer entry for file setup for each specific pump.
- Complete Work Orders to purchase raw material and services for work orders by gathering quotes, entering requisitions and tracking expected delivery times.
- Track customer supplied parts and materials.
- Compile Pump Repair Data Books
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure parts/materials are received and documented.
- Communicate drawings and specifications and material requirements to subcontractors for the manufacturing outsourcing initiatives and to expedite with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Work with internal Customer Service Representatives to relay job status and providing project timelines and schedules.
- Participate and implement programs and procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, production planning, and inventory control
- Familiarity with demand planning, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles
- Experience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, assembly.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in material planning or workflow scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field (preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years relevant experience (REQUIRED)
- Work Schedule Monday - Friday. Must be available for overtime, weekends, call-ins, etc. as needed to meet customer requirements. Pay is dependent upon experience._
