Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive facility production schedule that adheres to specified delivery KPIs while providing updates on each job with the goal of meeting our customer commitments and exceeding their expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan production schedules based on customer order requirements, working closely with purchasing and production teams, to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor capacity and initiate manufacturing outsourcing as needed while strictly adhering to expense control.
  • Perform planning to strategize equipment support and allocation to optimize capacity.
  • Monitor daily work order fulfillment in accordance to plan schedule and coordinate with facility management for any schedule deviations to ensure corrective action plans are taken immediately to resolve issues.
  • Responsible for the Pump Status Report
  • Assist Supervisor with RFQ information that is needed to complete quotes.
  • Prepare Inspection Packets and computer entry for file setup for each specific pump.
  • Complete Work Orders to purchase raw material and services for work orders by gathering quotes, entering requisitions and tracking expected delivery times.
  • Track customer supplied parts and materials.
  • Compile Pump Repair Data Books
  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure parts/materials are received and documented.
  • Communicate drawings and specifications and material requirements to subcontractors for the manufacturing outsourcing initiatives and to expedite with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Work with internal Customer Service Representatives to relay job status and providing project timelines and schedules.
  • Participate and implement programs and procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, production planning, and inventory control
  • Familiarity with demand planning, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • *Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, assembly.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in material planning or workflow scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • BS or BA Degree in relevant field (preferred)
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years relevant experience (REQUIRED)
Work Schedule Monday - Friday. Must be available for overtime, weekends, call-ins, etc. as needed to meet customer requirements. Pay is dependent upon experience.
