Kia of Downtown LA, located in Los Angeles, is looking for an experienced Cashier to join our Service Department Team. **The Requirements**
- Proven one (1) year working experience as a Cashier and/or cash handling
- One (1) year customer service experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent with a calculator and/or cashier machine.
- **The Skills You Bring**_
- Minimum one-year prior Cashier experience required.
- Solid written and verbal communication, people skills, professionalism, self-confidence, customer focus, ability to multi-task, customer service orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand, and execute complex written and verbal instructions
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Strong customer service orientation skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
- **The Work Itself**_
- Assists customers with check-in and check-out process of loaner vehicles
- Maintains the loaner fleet using electronic software
- Receives and issues a receipt for cash, checks and credit card payments, following the procedure set out for accepting payment (checks verified, etc.)
- Records amount received in the computer and secures cash in the register/drawer.
- Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
- Reviews and records totals as shown on the receipt tape and verifies against cash on hand.
- Refers customers who have additional questions or complaints to the service advisor or other appropriate person.
- Coordinates vehicle pick up with the service porters.
- Ensures all service records are filed timely and accurately.
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly and professional manner. Let customers who are waiting know that they will be helped soon.
- Ensure the work area is maintained clean.
- Reconciles cash drawer and card payments daily.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
