- Provide guidance to rail industry as a SME on emerging energy technologies (Hydrogen and Batteries) by conducting research w/ CAT and External parties;
- Define integration of emerging technologies into key product platforms with a understanding of how these technologies will impact customer operations across all regions;
- Engage with customers and government agencies on key policy decisions and grant funding;
- Develop long term roadmap for integration of future technologies into our product roadmaps;
- Interface with our Engineers, Advanced Technologies Group, Supply Chain, and Business teams on understating how technologies will be adopted;
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across key class 1 railroads to support sustainability efforts at the railroads;
- Own our TCO and Value prop for advanced energy solutions.
**Education / Training**
- College degree (BA/BS);
- Masters degree in Technical field (preferred);
- MBA (preferred).
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Project, Product, Manufacturing;
- 10+ years of rail or transportation industry experience;
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;
- Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Progress Rail products and services;
- Strong industry experience in locomotive and locomotive technologies;
- Strong understanding of the competitive locomotive environment in which the customers operate.
Travel:
- Ability to travel internationally as needed to support sales team, and / or trade shows.
