**SUMMARY**:
The Complex Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities within an organization. Key areas of responsibility include KPI monitoring & management, management and adherence to the Work Management Process, maintenance cost analysis & budget management, 5-year major maintenance & capital planning, vendor management, and fostering a culture of innovation to propel the maintenance and reliability department forward.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
May include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Support and drive accident prevention and environmental excellence.
- Participate in and promote continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, management and coaching where necessary regarding the maintenance work management process and cost analysis within the complex.
- Drive improved productivity, quality of work, and cost control across the complex and supporting unit maintenance superintendents.
- Monthly material and labor cost forecasting.
- Annual budgeting process, forecasting, and cost reporting functions.
- Participate and utilize various improvement or benchmarking projects as required.
- Develop and maintain five (5) year maintenance and capital improvement plans.
- Support the onboarding, training, and mentoring of new maintenance personnel on various maintenance systems.
- Assist with contracting strategy cost control measures.
- Communicate and review Maintenance performance metrics and KPI’s with Maintenance and Operational personnel on a regular basis to improve understanding and to drive improved productivity and efficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to maintenance standards and procedures.
- Continue to drive and implement maintenance systems and procedures to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify maintenance system requirements and align them with organizational goals.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging technologies and best practices in maintenance management systems.
- Ensure site alignment with corporate changes to system and upgrades

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.
- B.S Degree preferred with 8 years of experience in an industrial chemical plant or minimum 10 years Operational and/or Maintenance experience in industrial chemical plant operations.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and emerging technologies to drive innovation and optimize maintenance operations.
- Knowledge of maintenance, planning and scheduling requirements.
- Proven experience with emphasizing innovation, cost control and work management processes.
- Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, similar CMMS program and other relevant software tools for work management, cost tracking and performance reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Maintenance and Engineering department peers, managers, supervisors and crafts persons.
- Exhibit individual initiative and constantly seek continuous improvement.
- Must satisfy motor vehicle record screening requirements established by the company and/or its automobile insurer.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
