**DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary - Juvenile Court**

**HIRING RANGE: $20.92-$23.24/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.**

**POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP**

**HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday 8 - 5 p.m.; Tuesday - Friday 8 - 4 p.m.**

**LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart**

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
**Responsible for preparing and processing various motions, orders, and court related documents; scheduling all cases, and legal proceedings; performing various clerical/administrative duties; assuming the functions of other employees as necessary**.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- **High school diploma or GED; Associate degree or professional certificate in paralegal or related field preferred**:

- **Working knowledge of standard office/courtroom procedures and legal terminology**:

- **Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and files**:

- **Knowledge of standard English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and ability to type with speed and accuracy**:

- **Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices**:

- **Pre-employment background check and drug screen**
