**Position Summary**:
**DESCRIPTION**:
This position is responsible for Federal Verification and special/unusual circumstance review, processing federal and alternative loans and assist the Director with financial aid appeals. This position will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and maintenance of scholarship software, the awarding and reconciliation of internal endowed and term scholarships, and assist the Director with other financial aid related software programs/platforms. This position will also assist with current and prospective student financial aid packaging along with attending Enrollment Management functions which may include open houses, accepted student days, high school nights, and FAFSA completion events.

**OUTCOME**:
Have a positive impact on student enrollment by providing excellent service to students and families.

**Essential Functions**:

- Completes Federal Verification of FAFSA data as required by federal regulations. Includes the collection of appropriate documentation and completing files in StudentForms. 10%
- Processes special and unusual circumstance requests including the collection of appropriate documentation and completing files in StudentForms. 10%
- Processing and reconciliation of federal and alternative loans. 25%
- Administration of current and future College scholarship funds, which may include setup and implementation of new scholarship software. Will also work with the advancement and accounting teams for proper determination of annual fund allocations. 30%
- Prepares financial aid packages for current and prospective students. 20%
- Assist the Director with maintenance of financial aid related policies and procedures. 5%

**Experience and Education Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years prior financial aid experience within a college/university setting preferred for Associate Director
- At least 1 year prior financial aid experience within a college/university setting preferred for Assistant Director

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and work with mínimal supervision
- Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace experience preferred
- Knowledge of Banner SIS or other customer relationship management databases and experience setting up and/or maintaining 3rd party vendor software preferred
