**Administrative and Testing Coordinator**

**Required Qualification (as evidenced by an attached resume)**:
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree). Two (2) years of directly related full-time administrative experience. Experience administering tests. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience working in a higher education/academic environment. Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities. Experience with student services software. Experience with a testing scheduling system.
**Brief Description of Duties**:

- **Academic Testing Administration and Communications**:

- Coordinate exam scheduling with students, staff, and faculty.
- Authenticate student requests for examinations and obtain additional information if necessary.
- Communicate with departments, faculty, and staff regarding student’s needs and accommodations.
- Correspond with the Office of the Registrar regarding exam-scheduling needs.
- Ensure that students are receiving their reasonable testing accommodation provided by the Student Accessibility Support Center.
- Act as a liaison to faculty in order to receive all student’s exams in an accessible format and within a timely manner, ensuring that the integrity of the tests and examinations are not jeopardized.
- Hire and supervise proctors and student staff for exam administration.
- Manage staffing schedule to ensure adequate coverage to accommodate morning and evening testing schedules.
- Provide educational and training opportunities for testing staff.
- **Maintenance of Testing Policies Procedures and Exam Storage**
- Works closely with the Assistant Director of Instructional Support to implement updated testing policies and procedures on the Southampton campus.
- Manage electronic sign-in process.
- Record and report to the appropriate stakeholders all incidents occurring during testing including deviations to standard operating procedures.
- Provide ad-hoc assessment data to the Assistant Director of Instructional Support.
- Facilitate accurate distribution of exams to professors and other stakeholders.
- Provide faculty with the reassurance of the protected integrity of all proctored SASC exams.
- **IT Support**:

- Communicate with Student Accessibility Support Center’s Assistive Technology Specialist to ensure that the appropriate accessible technology and adaptive equipment are prepared prior to student’s exam start time.
- Assist the technology specialist to ensure that exams are accessible.
- **Professional Development and Committee Involvement**:

- Participate in opportunities that promote your learning, growth, and development (i.e. classes, training, committee, webinar, etc.).
- Contribute to the Division of Student Affairs, School of Health Professions and Stony Brook University by attending and/or supporting events, activities, and programs sponsored by areas outside of your individual unit/department (i.e. campus wide traditions, events, programs, etc.) at the discretion of the Southampton Director of Operations. Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
- **School of Health Professions Campus Operations**:

- Assist School of Health Professions Director of Operations with physical organization, safety, and security of program spaces.
- Occasional travel between Southampton and SBU Main Campus will be required.
- **School of Health Professions Office Assistance**:

- Provide campus tours as needed.
- Assist with social media initiatives (website management, events calendar, social media platforms, etc.) as needed.
- Provide support for student admissions, enrollment, and graduation as needed.
- Assist SHP Faculty and staff with administrative needs.
- Assist with calendar management.
- In the event of an emergency or crisis, provide on and off-campus resources and information as needed.
- **Event Coordination**:

- Assist the School of Health Professions Director of Operations with all School of Health Professions events at the Southampton Campus to include organization, setup, breakdown, and procurement needs.
- **Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.**

**Special Notes**:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.

In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,087 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.

**Essential Position**: This has been designated as an essential position based on the duties of the job and the functions performed. Positions that are designated as such may be required to report to work/remain at work even if classes are canceled, and the campus is working on limited operations in an emergency.
