**PROGRAMS COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE**
**ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC.**
- Homes for the Homeless, Inc. (HFH) is a non-profit social services organization operating family shelters throughout NYC that serve as a hub of opportunity for families both residing in shelter as well as those in the neighboring community. On-site programs range from childcare, early childhood education centers, afterschool clubs and programs, and youth recreation activities, such as sports teams, to housing assistance, case management, parenting workshops, career and job vocational training, support groups and substance abuse assistance, and family engagement and recreation events for the whole family.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assist Senior Compliance associate to evaluate and assess childcare programs to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and applicable performance standards.
- Assist with drafting written programs’ safety checklists.
- Assist with annual compliance training tracking for all program staff.
- Assist with annual compliance filings/reports.
- Conducts monthly classroom observations and provides written reports.
- Maintain and keep up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of all current SACC/DOE/DYCD regulations
- Attend DOE/SACC/DYCD update meetings, maintain up to date guide with program information.
- Maintain up to date contract information for all programs agencies.
- Complete weekly background check report updates
- Research program opportunities as grants
- Liaise communication with colleges and universities to foster opportunities to create job partnerships with our programs.
- Other role-relevant duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelors Degree in education, human services or related field
- ** OR** currently pursuing a degree in education or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience working with children in an after school or early childhood program. (preferred)
- Manages multiple projects effectively; Meets multiple daily deadlines; Prioritizes and organizes tasks
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Organized & detailed oriented.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
