Ensuring that a first class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the building

Reviewing work schedules

Ordering of cleaning materials

Monitoring of all cleaning activities

Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures

Previous experience in a cleaning environment

Previous experience of managing a team

The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures

Health and Safety experience

Good interpersonal skills

Supervise cleaning staff, ensuring they meet with the highest standards of cleanliness.

Coordinate all activities of the cleaning staff.

Assigns janitorial work to staff, following work schedules and requirements.

Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.

Recommends personnel actions to the Director of Facilities Administration, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.

Consults with cleaning staff to resolve production and personnel problems.

Qualifications/Skills:
Detail oriented - pays attention to details of each task, with extra attention to any special requests.

Friendly and Professional - able to deal with staff when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed

A leader and team player - ability to lead a team motivate members to work hard. Ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done.

Self-starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.

Desire to learn, seek new challenges and take on additional responsibilities

Reasoning ability. Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems.

Related cleaning experience in a commercial service environment with supervisory experience is preferred.

Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and relay information between the team and office staff.

Uniforms, provided by the building, must be worn during work hours

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
