About the Department
The Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE) is situated within the Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago Medicine. CCHE aims to eliminate all new HIV transmission events by 2041.
The CCHE mission includes integrated and comprehensive approaches to HIV elimination, including addressing risks associated with drug use and addiction, and testing interventions to promote harm reduction, testing, and linkage to care. Projects are located throughout the state of Illinois.
Job Summary
This position is grant funded.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works with the CCHE research team, Center Director and Principal Investigators to implement research at CCHE.- Leads efforts to execute scopes for various research projects at CCHE.- Ensures compliance with requirements of funding sources (e.g., submitting program plans, providing progress reports, final reports, etc.).-
- Facilitates the design, development, and implementation of research study protocols.- Supports hiring - conducts phone screens, coordinates and schedules interviews and conducts reference checks.- Supervises Research Staff as assigned.-
- Solves complex problems relating to data management and the analysis of large administrative datasets. Works independently to develop, manage, and report on key data and ensures timeliness of data and reporting submissions from multiple investigators.-
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
**Education**:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
- Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
- Certifications:
- Preferred Qualifications
- Education:- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or other related field.- Experience:- Experience in a management or supervision.
- Experience working with and/or providing care to LGBT populations preferred, Black and Latino community members.
- Experience providing HIV/STI treatment and/or prevention.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, and proven grant writing skills.Preferred Competencies-
