**This position is 40hrs per week/ 12 months worked, Benefits Eligible, and is located at Del Sur Elementary School**

**The eligibility list created from this recruitment will remain active for 6 months**

**BASIC FUNCTION**:
Under the direction of the site administrator, plan and coordinate the operations and supervision of an Extended Student Services (ESS) program; supervise, train and evaluate assigned personnel; provide a safe and healthful environment for students in the program.

**Examples of Duties**:
**REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES**:
Plan and coordinate the operation of an ESS program designed to meet the needs of school-aged children. **_E_**
- Design and implement a schedule of activities appropriate to the goals of the program; facilitate articulation of activities with the assigned school instructional programs. **_E_**
- Establish and maintain files and records related to the program including student files and forms, financial records and staff evaluations. **_E_**
- Prepare tuition invoices, collect fees, provide receipt and deposit in appropriate District account; establish procedures for delinquent accounts; develop payment plans; provide security for monies received. **_E_**
- Formulate monthly budget projections; purchase supplies and equipment; process requisitions and invoices; receive, store and inventory supplies; maintain files on purchases; operate program in a fiscally prudent manner. **_E_**
- Supervise, train and evaluate assigned personnel and student workers; develop employee work schedules and assign work; maintain proper staff to student ratio. **_E_**
- Prepare a disaster plan for ESS program including on and off site emergencies; administer first aid; verify medication authorization and administer accordingly; monitor medical conditions. **_E_**
- Communicate with parents and community agencies regarding various aspects of ESS program; prepare monthly newsletters, summer brochures and conduct orientation meetings; schedule field trips and guest speakers. **_E_**
- Utilize a variety of computer programs, including PUSD software specific to the position.- Conduct staff meetings, professional growth in-services, and new employee orientation for assigned personnel.- Participate on school site and district committees such as disaster team, strategic planning, preschool articulation, youth employment, risk management and health services.- Perform related duties as assigned.**NOTE**: At the end of some of the duty statements, there is an "E" which identifies essential duties required of the classification.**Minimum Qualifications**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to: associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field and two years of paid experience working with elementary aged children, preferably as a Lead or Supervisor in an after school program. Additional years of education or experience may be substituted to meet the minimum qualifications.

**LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Valid California driver's license.- Valid certifications provided by American Heart Association, American Red Cross or District approved provider for First Aid, Adult/Child CPR and AED. Online certifications will be accepted from these vendors as long as a hands-on skills assessment is completed. Recertification to maintain current/valid status is a condition of employment.**Supplemental Information**:
