**Job description**:
Meticulous and detail-oriented **Medical Scribe** to join a private medical office.

You will work closely with the healthcare provider to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure comprehensive and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation, enabling our healthcare team to quality patient care.

When not scribing (approximately 13 patients a day), alternate responsibilities include submitting medical referrals (approximately 5 a day) for HMO- managed care patients.

Patient callbacks and appointment scheduling (approximately 10 patients a day)

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately document patient history, physical examination findings, procedures, assessments, and treatment plans as dictated by healthcare provider.
- Maintain real-time electronic medical records (EMR) during patient encounters to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist healthcare providers with documentation-related tasks to enhance efficiency and workflow; ie managed care medical referrals and ppo procedure authorizations. Patient callbacks to discuss need for follow-up and education regarding lab results.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- An associate or bachelor's degree in a **healthcare-related field** or current enrollment in a medical program is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Scribe in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent typing speed and proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
