Job DescriptionAt Platinum Dermatology Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering top-notch medical services.
Responsibilities:- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, assist with preparation for exams, and ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, providing support and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Perform extractions, injections, and other patient procedures, as well as collect and process lab specimens.
- Notify patients of test results and schedule follow-up appointments, ensuring seamless communication and care coordination.
- Educate patients on medical instructions, respond to questions, and provide support as needed.
- Document all medical instructions given to patients, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies, maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
- Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Able to demonstrate compassion, caring, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
This position is based in a well-lit medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work required. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
