**Summary**

The Philanthropy Coordinator, Volunteer Services, is the first point of contact for groups and individuals interested in donating their time to serve the mission at Father Joe’s Villages. They welcome inquiries positively, aiming to match the interest to an existing or new volunteer opportunity. The coordinator supports the activities of the Volunteer Services Program and logistics of thousands of volunteers annually, Father Joe’s Villages program needs, projects, and special events and assists with volunteer recruitment, orientation, assignment, supervision, and recognition within designated program areas. A high level of discretion and confidentiality are necessary when engaging with or assisting either volunteers, donors, or clients.

**Essential Functions**
- Coordinates and supervises volunteer activities for 15+ Village programs (on and off-site).
- Manages volunteer activities using Volunteer Hub and maintains the volunteer database, events, and hours.
- Develops and maintains positive and lasting relationships with volunteers, staff, donors and community members.
- Facilitates group and individual orientations and conducts interviews.
- Assists with public presentations and tours.
- Meets with new volunteers and donors and welcomes them to the Village.
- Monitors daily activity with programs to ensure volunteer effectiveness and satisfaction.
- Addresses volunteer issues and follows process of termination of volunteer activities when warranted.
- Contacts volunteers to inquire about their experience and ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Works with Volunteer Services team to plan and implement appreciation activities and events for annual Volunteer Appreciation Month in April and ongoing recognition activities.
- Coordinates donation drives with individuals and groups.
- Prepares and maintains all records, statistics, and reports.
- Oversees compliance requirements.
- On time completion of assigned training and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor‘s degree preferred.
- Two to three years of volunteer coordinator experience or similar role.
- Two to three years of administrative experience.
- Two to three years of customer service experience.
- Experience as a direct volunteer, preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
- Intermediate user of MS Office, including Teams and Zoom.
- Knowledge of CRM databases, such as Volunteer Hub and Raiser’s Edge, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years old with at least three years of driving experience; possess a valid California driver’s license; and have no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 months.
- Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
