**Overall purpose of the position**: In this role, the employee leads and assists volunteers assigned to the Reclamation and Kitting areas by helping to orient them to the Operation’s needs; ensuring that they are trained in safety standards & work, and providing them with equipment & product to sort or kit build. Additionally, they will assist in the planning and staffing all volunteer-related activities for all shifts, including special events, nights, and weekends. The employee supervises all related warehouse operations and staff as they receive & manage food & non-food shipments, fill out appropriate paperwork, and ensure correctness of inbound/outbound products between the branches. The employee is responsible for assisting in all phases of inventory, its proper recording, and the movement of it.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

**50% Supervision: Direct warehouse staff to ensure timely receipt of goods for menu availability, and hold staff accountable for IMPACT behaviors.**
- Ensure that all SOPs are followed, and participate in developing these SOPs.
- Conducts staff training to meet all SOPs processes, safety standards, and system training requirements. Daily team meetings and individual one-to-one meetings engage the staff to ensure all information is shared with the team on time.
- Provide insight into safety techniques to drive down recordable incidents.

**30% Volunteer Work Management**:

- Conducts Volunteer orientation & safety training before each shift starts.
- Coordinate activities of volunteers while they are on the warehouse floor.
- Monitors all workflow to ensure sufficient product is provided for sorting and to ensure sorting is done to quality and food safety standards.

**15% Inventory: Make sure, and assist when needed, on completion of cycle counts, receiving and staging inventory & Warehouse system.**
- Enter correct data into the Inventory & Warehouse system to track food through the system.
- Manage the waste numbers to annual metrics as developed with the team.
- As needed access off-site storage to manage the unloading and loading of products.
- Drive the use of Inventory systems as solutions to accuracy and productivity.

**5**% **Manual Labor**:

- Pick orders for partners as needed.
- When required move food products by lifting up to 75 pounds and utilize MHE to load and unload orders and move products to appropriate storage areas.

**Supervisory Responsibility**:This position supervises 8 warehouse associates in 2 separate, adjacent facilities and oversees all assigned volunteer workers while they are in each warehouse.

**Education and Experience**: High school diploma or GED required. At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment with Warehouse Management and Inventory systems is required. At least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of two years of experience operating a Forklift and other Material Handling Equipment required. Previous training certification is preferred. Ability to follow and provide instructions with emphasis on safety. Demonstrated experience training employees, delegating work, and monitoring/addressing performance. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and written & verbal communication skills.

The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 75 pounds and occasionally pushes/pulls manual pallet jacks containing up to 2,000 pounds. The employee will carry out the job duties in/around a warehouse environment which will have greatly fluctuating noise and temperature conditions varying from 90° F to -10° F.
