**Responsibilities**:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will:
- **Bank Statement Management**: Pull daily bank statements for transaction details.
- **Cash Receipt Posting**: Perform all duties to post premium cash receipts, including opening mail, depositing checks, and coding deposits in the accounting system.
- **Reconciliation**:Reconcile bank deposits to the accounting system and daily/monthly cash log.
- **Premium Cash Audit**: Audit all premium cash receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness for the premium department to process disbursements.
- Issue Resolution: Research accounts receivable inquiries and resolve outstanding issues.
- **Debit Coding Support**: Support team lead in correctly coding all banking debits, such as NSF and return items.
- **Reporting**: Maintain accurate reporting of all premiums received for Account Management.
- **Special Tasks and Projects**:Complete special tasks and projects as necessary.
**Qualifications**
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- **Relevant Experience**: 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
- **Educational Background**: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks/multi-task.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with internal and external parties.
- **Tech Proficiency**: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- **Time Management**: Proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- **Independence and Multitasking**: Work independently in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- **Sense of Urgency and Attention to Detail**: Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
