Under the general supervision of the Controller, this position will be responsible for maintaining payable transactions and working closely with the alternative payment department to obtain accurate revenue invoices. This position also assists with the Agency’s cashflow related processes including providing checks and balances for outgoing payables to vendors, providers, and clients.

**CORE RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Analyze, review, and process childcare provider payments and make sure they are processed timely and accurately in accordance with compliance standards.
- Processing vendors ‘bills correctly and in a timely manner, ensuring utilities are paid on time.
- Entering incoming invoices into the accounting system with the correct amount and accounting entries.
- Sending vendors’ invoices to the authorized signatories for approval prior to payment
- Creating and maintaining vendors files and updating filing systems; filing all paid invoices in an organized fashion.
- Assist with form 1099s reporting and filing project, and year end audit.
- Assist with the ordering of agency program supplies and verify upon their delivery.
- Assist with following up with programs on pending receipts needed.
- Issue stop-payments, file affidavit of Claimant to bank.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Analyze transaction information to identify refunds, delinquent accounts, and insufficient payments.
- Ensure that discrepancies including overpayment or underpayments are timely resolved.
- Reconcile transactions with subledger, general ledger and statements.
- Maintain accurate financial record of all payable transactions, verifications, etc.
- Secure financial data via data backups and security monitoring.
- Effectively engage and support historically minoritized groups by addressing issues of equity and improving culturally responsive service-oriented practices.
- Support and implement trauma informed care practices using Agency-wide methodologies and strategies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE OF**:

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Associate degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- AND least 3 years of experience with non-profit industries, in billing/ claims/ accounts payable/ customer services, government funded contracts.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
