Under the supervision of the Utility Craftsworker Supervisor, Water Resources (WR), the incumbent performs varied skilled work consisting of the inspection, alteration, repair and maintenance of civil features associated with and in support of large hydro facilities such as dams, hydro-electric generating and pumping plants, spillways, aqueducts, water control radials gates, water measuring levies, levee systems, reservoirs, security systems, and Fish Facility Operations.
- **Permanent Intermittent positions are allowed to work up to 1,500 hours per calendar year.**

- Special Requirements
- Overtime may be required. Knowledge and ability required to operate all types of hand tools, power tools, and chainsaws. Knowledge of earthwork and rigging.
- Must have a valid California Class A Driver License and medical card with all necessary endorsements, including Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME), and no restriction on either braking system or transmission type. Driving from plant to plant, and/or remote locations within the State Water Project, including driving a vehicle on public roadways and on uneven terrain will be required. This requirement must be met within 90 calendar days after appointment to the class.
