**Corporate Accountant**
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) | Portage, MI (Hybrid) | Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)| Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week; M-F)

**Your Role at Walker**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with weekly, monthly, yearly accounting processes (accounts payable, expense reports processing)
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, monitoring performance against targets.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
- Assist with the identification, design, and implementation of AI automation tools.
- Participate on tasks and research with the current Strategic Plan implementation.
- Work with the Director of Corporate Accounting and review, design and implementation of improved processes and automation.

**Qualifications and Competencies**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Experience and Proficiency with accounting software (Deltek is a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. (Advanced skills with Excel and Word).
- Experience in Power BI (or other financial dashboard software) is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Work Environment**:

- This role typically operates in an office environment, with occasional travel required for meetings or training sessions.
- Hybrid (2-3 day per week in office) schedule is available after initial training and onboarding.

Salary Range: Base salary ranges from $ $65,000-$85,000 annually (Depending on experience) + Bonus.
