Job Title: Billing Clerk

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our client and play a vital role in supporting billing operations. This onsite, temporary-to-hire position based in Wilmington, DE focuses on preparing and verifying billing data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate invoice generation.

Compensation:
  • $21.00 - $24.00/hour
Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities of the Billing Clerk:
  • Complete daily and weekly customer billing using TMS software.
  • Verify delivery paperwork in the TMS system to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Resolve billing exceptions by working closely with dispatch and operations.
  • Reconcile TMS system invoicing with Dynamics SL-generated invoices.
  • Maintain and update TMS master data for new or changed consignee locations.
  • Address billing and collection inquiries from other departments.
  • Investigate and assist with resolution of disputed invoices, identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Manage workload efficiently with flexibility to meet evolving priorities.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and special assignments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills for the Billing Clerk:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take initiative.
