Solidworks Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is an industry leader specializing in cutting-edge technology for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles , driving innovation at the intersection of advanced hardware and sustainable mobility solutions. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who can act as a true “Swiss-Army Knife” on the engineering team—someone who is versatile, hands-on, and excited to own projects from concept through production.

Lead full-scale mechanical design activities from initial concept through detailed CAD modeling, prototyping, testing, and production release.
Design and optimize injection-molded components , ensuring manufacturability, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop sheet metal designs for enclosures, brackets, assemblies, and structural components.
Perform mechanical analysis (tolerance stack-ups, stress, thermal, vibration) to validate component performance.
Oversee project management efforts, including timeline creation, task tracking, and cross-functional communication.
Support design reviews, build events, and prototype assembly with hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and systems engineering teams to integrate mechanical solutions into complete products.
Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, documentation, and internal engineering processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 6+ years of mechanical product development experience (automotive, EV, aerospace, robotics, or similar industries a plus).
~ Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
~ Proven experience designing injection-molded parts and understanding associated manufacturing processes.
~ Demonstrated capability in sheet metal design fundamentals and best practices.
