LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our client's organization in the Romeoville, IL area.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and revise drawings and models from written and verbal specifications.
Develop effective product and process designs using CAD software.
Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new projects.
Ensure design accuracy, maintain documentation, and coordinate with other engineers and drafters.
Manage small projects, maintain project scope, budget, and schedule.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project.
Provide technical assistance, participate in meetings, and support sales with project concepts.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering (two- or four-year program).
Minimum three years’ experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Intermediate knowledge of standard engineering concepts, industry-specific processes, and automated hardware or computer applications.
Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
