Construction Project Manager Columbia, SC | On-Site A well-established local General Contractor with a strong and growing backlog is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their Columbia, SC team. This company focuses on Commercial, Industrial, and Medical construction and is known for building long-term client relationships through quality execution and accountability. This is an opportunity to step into a true builder role, managing meaningful projects locally while working alongside an experienced, collaborative leadership team. What You'll Be Building: New Ground-up and Renovation projects across the Columbia market Commercial, industrial, and medical facilities Typical project sizes ranging from $5M to $50M+ High-visibility work for repeat clients and regional owners What You'll Be Doing: Manage projects from buyout through closeout (YOUR PROJECT YOUR WAY) Lead budgeting, scheduling, buyout, and cost control Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams Maintain clear communication with owners and internal leadership Ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence on all projects Partner closely with estimating, preconstruction, and field teams Why This Opportunity Stands Out Strong local backlog with minimal travel Reputable GC with long-standing relationships in the Columbia market Diverse project mix across commercial, industrial, and medical sectors Hands-on leadership and a collaborative builder culture Well-organized operations with solid preconstruction and project controls Clear runway for growth into Senior Project Manager and leadership roles What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor Experience managing commercial construction projects end-to-end Ground-up and renovation experience preferred Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and take ownership of results Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred (not required) Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary (based on experience) Performance bonus Vehicle allowance or mileage support Health insurance, PTO, and paid holidays 401(k) with company contribution If you're looking for a long-term role with a respected local GC, strong project variety, and the chance to grow your career in Columbia, this is a position worth exploring.
