Construction Project Manager Columbia, SC | On-Site
A well-established local General Contractor with a strong and growing backlog is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their Columbia, SC team. This company focuses on Commercial, Industrial, and Medical construction and is known for building long-term client relationships through quality execution and accountability.
This is an opportunity to step into a true builder role , managing meaningful projects locally while working alongside an experienced, collaborative leadership team.
What You’ll Be Building:
New Ground-up and Renovation projects across the Columbia market
Commercial, industrial, and medical facilities
Typical project sizes ranging from $5M to $50M+
Manage projects from buyout through closeout (YOUR PROJECT YOUR WAY)
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
Ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence on all projects
Partner closely with estimating, preconstruction, and field teams
Strong local backlog with minimal travel
Diverse project mix across commercial, industrial, and medical sectors
Well-organized operations with solid preconstruction and project controls
Clear runway for growth into Senior Project Manager and leadership roles
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
~ Experience managing commercial construction projects end-to-end
~ Ground-up and renovation experience preferred
~ Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management
~ Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred (not required)
