Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A Contract Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Minneapolis, MN, supporting elementary students in kindergarten through 5th grade. This position focuses on working with plex learners, including children with Autism and other cognitive disorders, to enhance their academic performance and essential learning skills. The classroom environment includes approximately seven students, supported by three paraprofessionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive educational setting. Responsibilities: Develop and implement tailored instructional strategies addressing academics, functional skills, adaptive skills, and social/emotional learning for students with diverse needs Write and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals and regulatory standards Collaborate with related services staff to ensure prehensive support for student development Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods to meet evolving individual needs Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning and growth Qualifications: Tier 3 Minnesota Department of Education license in Special Education is required Experience working with students with Autism and cognitive disorders preferred Demonstrated ability to write and implement effective IEPs Strong munication and teamwork skills to engage with paraprofessionals and related service providers effectively mitment to fostering inclusive education and supporting social/emotional development Location: Minneapolis, MN Elementary School setting This contract position offers health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with a 401(k) option. Hourly pay ranges from $40 to $45, reflecting the specialized skills required.
