This contract role focuses on supporting the special education team by ensuring compliance with special education laws, due process, and MTSS interventions.The primary responsibility of this role is to act as a Specialized Instructional Coach in special education. The coach supports and mentors teachers by providing expertise in intervention strategies and MTSS frameworks, particularly focusing on ensuring all legal steps, rights, required paperwork, and timelines are strictly followed for students with disabilities. This position involves working within one building, dedicating approximately 36.25 hours per week.Key responsibilities include:Monitoring and supporting adherence to due process requirements and timelines in special education.Assisting teachers with compliance related to students with disabilities.Providing guidance on intervention strategies and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).Keeping detailed records of required paperwork and legal procedures.Collaborating with school staff to maintain federal and state compliance.Qualifications and experience:Proven background as a special education teacher or related instructional coach role.Comprehensive knowledge of special education laws, due process requirements, and timelines.Experience with intervention frameworks and MTSS.Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school administrators.This W2 contract position offers a competitive weekly hourly rate of $37-$43 per hour and includes healthcare benefits and a 401(k) plan.
