MAIC is looking for an individual with experience in *iron work and rigging* The job responsibilities & requirements are listed below.
* Flexibility to travel between projects on a daily and/or weekly basis.
* Flexibility to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling facilities) environments.
* Willing to work at least 40 hours per week (Mon – Thu on a 4-10’s schedule), with the flexibility to work overtime as required. Some night shift may be required.

*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Proficient in the erection of multi-level structures consisting of beam and column bolted and/or welded construction.
* Proficient in safe practices for connecting steel.
* Understanding of erection drawings and the assembly of shop fabricated components.
* Ability to work at heights, using proper PPE.
* Proficient in safe practices for rigging steel, equipment, and other items, using a variety of slings, come-alongs, chain falls, spreader bars, and other lifting accessories.
* Proficient in knowledge of crane hand signals and communicating with crane operators when lifting.
*EXPERIENCE*
* 2-5 Years previous construction experience, preferably with a steel erection contractor.
* Self-Starter – Ability to work alone on a project, and as part of a team.
* Effective verbal communication skills.
* Reliable transportation with active driver’s license
* US Citizen and/or Green Card Verified
* Flexibility to travel in the Baltimore Metro Area

Mid-Atlantic Industrial Construction, LLC (MAIC) is a heavy industrial mechanical contractor that focuses on the installation, service, and maintenance of power and process systems in the manufacturing and power generation market. MAIC is based in Baltimore, MD with a satellite office in Hagerstown, MD.
MAIC has a focus on the process industrial market with our primary focus being the installation of equipment, piping, and structural steel for a core group of clients that demand quality, safety, and reliability. With that in mind, we work in a wide range of environments from Food Grade Manufacturing to Chemical Processing and Power Plants. Our projects may include:
* Structural Fabrication
* Structural Erection
* Storage Tanks, Make Up Tanks, Process Tanks
* Process Manufacturing Equipment Removal or Installation
* Conveyor Systems
* Selective Demolition of items described above.
