Key Responsibilities- Design and develop automated machinery that meets customer requirements for filling, capping, and labeling products.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new product concepts, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
- Interface with engineering, sales, manufacturing, assembly, and technical service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop performance calculations, timing diagrams, flow charts, and sequence of events to optimize machinery performance.
- Lead design review and knowledge-sharing discussions to ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with new and existing machinery in collaboration with manufacturing and assembly teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Machine Design, Mechanical, or Mechatronics, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- Expertise in sizing and selecting multi-axis motion control systems, electromechanical systems, and pneumatics.
- Demonstrated 'blank page' design experience with ability to produce concepts for new sales applications.
- Significant experience designing automated machinery, such as assembly, packaging, filling, and/or continuous motion machines.
- Exceptional concept and problem-solving skills, with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of FDA, ASME standards and regulations, and 3D design experience with Solidworks or similar software.
