Position Overview:

Under the direct supervision of the Perioperative Services Manager.
- Oversees anesthesia equipment and equipment repairs.
- Responsible for maintaining anesthesia supply inventory and equipment/supply coordination for procedures.
- Coordinates equipment and supplies for delivery of anesthesia or sedation of the perioperative patient.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the perioperative area including demonstrated knowledge of anesthesia techniques, drugs, and equipment.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge of anesthesia equipment and supplies.

  • Knowledge of inventory management.

  • Methods to assess and evaluate care and services (performance improvement).

  • Ability to prepare and present clear written and oral presentations.

  • Ability to analyze problems, reach practical conclusions, and institute effective changes.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of customers’ needs.

  • Takes the appropriate actions to meet customers’ needs.

  • Takes personal responsibility to meet customer needs.

  • Takes the personal actions required to enhance relationships with our customers.
