Roving Leasing Professional

At PRISM Real Estate Services, we put People first, show Respect to earn it, operate with Integrity, and prioritize Service to others in order to live a Meaningful life, develop a Reputation for Excellence in all things, and Strengthen each other for tomorrow. These are our values and the “why” that drives us as a premier property management company to provide active first-class management to our residential and commercial portfolios across Kansas City and the Midwest.

Our values compel us to cultivate a RELATIONAL work community full of MOTIVATING people who celebrate wins big and small. Our ever-changing world requires that we remain ADAPTABLE to meet needs and FORWARD-LOOKING to anticipate and overcome challenges. What doesn’t change is the need for our team of AUTHENTIC, ACCOUNTABLE, and ACCESSIBLE professionals who say what they mean, do what they say, and love what they do. We take the INITIATIVE to make a difference and strive to be INVENTIVE, never settling for what worked yesterday. It is through this culture that we are constantly building a more REWARDING place to work and a COLLABORATIVE team to achieve our mission.

At PRISM, a Leasing Professional thrives on assisting people and families with finding a new home. This resourceful problem-solver has an entrepreneurial spirit and is empathetic and caring. Building a community is a challenge, and not everyone has the capacity to successfully take on the weight of caring for several families at once. However, for the right person, being a leasing professional is an opportunity to - under the supervision of the property manager - make decisions, guide new prospects, and make the lives of the residents under their care the best they can be.

Prism is looking for a Leasing Professional like YOU if you are…

Dependable – You take ownership of the property you help build. Both the challenges and the triumphs are “yours.” The prospects from many different communities know you will be there, and they can rely on your kindness and knowledge to guide them in finding a new home.
A Great Communicator – It is wise to have problems that need solving on multiple people’s radars, so it is not a burden for you to respond to inquiries from tenants, new prospects, and the corporate office. Not only are you reachable and keep people in the loop, but you are intuitive enough to know when a problem is within your scope to solve and when it should be passed on. You can convey a precise message with clarity and respect regardless of the situation, which will minimize disputes and conflicts among all the parties you connect.
Achievement Oriented – You may have a hundred trophies at home, but not one is for participation. You don’t just play for fun; you play to win. Seeing reports that show more tenants than last month makes you happy. Seeing every maintenance request completed makes you smile, and seeing ledgers that show higher revenue from last year makes you do a little happy dance. Your greatest competition is yourself because no one motivates you like you, and no one else can keep up anyway. Crossing the finish line into the winner's circle is what your dreams are made of, and it translates to profitable and well-run communities you are proud to help manage.
Autonomous and Independent – Though not afraid to ask for help when needed and grateful for the PRISM family that has your back, you are self-motivated and don’t have to be convinced to be present and do your best. You are inspired to achieve greatness because it is important to you no matter where you are or what you are doing. Showing your property managers the success you achieve has a two-fold benefit. It is personally gratifying and proves that you function best as the helicopter surveying the scene and are not the scene needing to be surveyed.
Quick to Respond – Like a boomerang, you return phone calls and emails in a timely fashion, not just with any information but with an idea, an option, or a solution. You know that it is not just your responsibility but your chance to show off your prowess when balancing the needs of your current tenants, upcoming move-ins, future prospects, and corporate co-workers. Your multi-tasking plate-spinning abilities don’t just answer the questions around you. They keep your people and your property safe, happy, and healthy.
A Relationship Builder – You meet new people all the time; and some are there for a season, and others stay in your orbit for life. Either way, it’s your ability to find common ground with people that enable you to establish connections that can save your property money, save your staff time, and save you energy. Even difficult people eventually treat you with respect because they cannot deny that you authentically offer it to everyone and try to make every situation “win-win.”
A True Professional – You are confident in what you know but always willing to learn more. You are patient because people are complex, but you steer the car to the finish line. You are ethical when using both a tough or soft touch, and you always extend a friendly helping hand whether the person on the other end extends the same or not. You stand your ground and rise above momentary hardships, and that is what makes you a pillar of the community you manage and an asset to Prism.
