Shop Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the truck equipment installation department, including scheduling and assigning tasks to technicians, estimators, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure that work is completed on time and meets the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee the workflow within the shop, monitoring the progress of work and resolving any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
  • Communicate with internal sales team to provide updates on the status of their vehicles and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work orders, inventory, and customer information.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve shop efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Train and mentor staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent references, highlighting strong leadership abilities and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
