* Advanced engine chassis repair and maintenance.
* Advanced knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to maintain and repair the vehicles in a timely and safe manner
* Advanced knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to effectively diagnose and repair complex heating and cooling systems in the vehicles in a timely and safe manner
* Safely operating welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and as safely as possible.
* Identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*

* Services and changes fluids in a variety of heavy equipment and trucks
* Performs repairs and replacement work, brake replacements, hydraulic cylinders and pumps
* Assists Mechanics in lowering or lifting heavy parts in removing or installing automotive equipment
* Removes defective parts, such as starters, generators, water pumps, and radiators
* Cleans and changes filters and maintenance equipment. Checks compressors, radiators, and radiator hoses. Performs general service on all types of heavy-duty equipment. Dismantles equipment for repairs. Gives semiskilled mechanical assistance in all areas of automotive repair
* Changes tires and repairs flats on a variety of heavy automotive equipment
* Operates service truck to make minor repairs, change or add tires, batteries, and gasoline
* Assists in removing engines and other assemblies, and dismantles for overhaul or replacement
* Grease and lubricate trucks and other heavy equipment
* Use assorted hand tools, heavy impact air wrench, computer, and other related equipment.
* Performs other related work as required
*QUALIFICATIONS Diesel Mechanic:*
* CDL Class “B” preferred, drivers license required.
* Must be able to perform PM inspections to company standards
* Ability to perform annual DOT inspections
* Troubleshooting and diagnosis capabilities in electrical systems with vendor or ASE certification training.
* ASE certified heavy-duty truck braking systems, meeting DOT brake standards, with minimal supervision.
* Complete set of tools
* Ability to work in all aspects of truck shop and maintain all equipment with minimal supervision.
* Mechanical aptitude, coordination, and dexterity
*“C” Mechanic*
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Services and changes oil in a variety of heavy equipment and trucks
* Performs minor repairs and replacement work
* Assists Heavy Equipment Mechanics in lowering or lifting heavy parts in removing or installing automotive equipment
* Removes defective parts, such as starters, generators, water pumps, and radiators
* Cleans and changes filters and maintenance equipment. Checks compressors, radiators, and radiator hoses. Performs general service on all types of heavy-duty equipment. Dismantles equipment for repairs. Gives semiskilled mechanical assistance in all areas of automotive repair

*“Helper” Mechanic*
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Possession of a valid Driver’s License or higher is preferred
* Must be able to obtain CDL
* Must have ability to learn
* Experience
* Attending diesel school
* Less than two years’ experience as diesel technician
* Complete set of hand tools
* Ability to work in all aspects of truck shop and maintain all equipment with supervision.
