Our world demands low carbon energy solutions to achieve a Net Zero futureGHD's Construction group has an outstanding opportunity for a Mining Project Manager-Environmental/Heavy-Civil/Mining.In this role, you will lead project teams in the development and management of small-scale Mining Services Projects as well as leading the Business Development process for new clients. This will include Engineering, Design, Business Development, Environmental Remediation, and Constructability reviews. You will ensure deadlines and quality control measures are met, evaluate project work in accordance with a predetermined timeline and budget and align with the strategic goals of the organization and scope of the project. Develop relationships both outside of and within GHD’s network of clients to develop current and future work.Business Development will be a large portion of your scope of work. This opportunity is a remote (Home) based position. However, if the candidate is close to a GHD main office then a Hybrid type schedule would be referred. The candidate can be based in the Western US close to a regional airport. Travel will be required to project sites and client visits as needed.Additional responsibilities will include: Overseeing all aspects of execution for projects including pre-bid and proposal preparations, project start up, contract management, resource loading and cost controls, material buy out, subcontractor management, cash flow management and change order negotiationsGathering information using project control tools to show daily progress status, compile information weekly and coordinate monthly project status reports to communicate progress using the Risk Matrix and Key Performance Indicators graphsProactively mentoring, training and empowering project teams to ensure project requirements (i.e., safety, quality, efficiency, etc.) are maintained throughout the project's durationAssisting with the preparation of bids and proposals; generating, preparing, and submitting invoices per the terms of the contract for all assigned projectsLead the Business Development efforts to support the groups goalsYou will also have experience in the environmental and construction services sector as wellSuccessful skills and qualification include: Mining Engineering is preferred but will look at qualifications that meet the requirements below.A minimum of 10 years’ experience with doing work with Mining companies or similarMinimum of 5 years of experience leading Environmental/Civil/Mining type construction projects related to, site preparation, excavation or earthwork construction, heavy civil construction, mine closure, small scale earth moving, and/or demolitionExcellent written and oral communication skills with solid ability to develop, mentor and lead professional staffExperience with estimating and management software a plusSalary Range - 140K to 170K pending experienceIf you're interested in pursuing this position, please submit an application belowTake on some of the world’s toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.We'll give you control over your career, empower you to find innovative solutions and help you create a lasting impact.See where your commitment could take you with GHD.
