HB Staffing is seeking a Street Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team
Job Description:
Assist with training staff, directing work, and ensuring safety procedures are followed
Conduct periodic maintenance inspections and record service or repair needs and actions taken
Perform complex maintenance and repair work; inspect others' work for completeness
Prepare and perform preventative maintenance tasks; manage supplies and inventory
Maintain and perform routine maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment
Assemble, install, and maintain office furnishings and systems
Set up and break down facilities and equipment for meetings/events and assist with special events
Install, maintain, and inspect park and streetscape equipment, fixtures, and amenities
Perform and oversee street maintenance functions, including repairs and installation of street signs and markings
Assist in emergencies, plan and lead safety meetings, and oversee temporary workers and contractors
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of building, landscape, facilities, and construction trades (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, irrigation)
Knowledge of street maintenance methods and tools for concrete and asphalt
Understanding of safe working practices
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and improvement principles for buildings, facilities, landscapes, and streets
Skill in using tact, discretion, and independent judgment
Operate landscape, facilities, construction, and street maintenance equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, safety rules, and manuals
Skill in using computers and related applications for job functions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to identify and report hazardous materials
