JOB SUMMARY
A Medical Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining resident healthcare information and records for our Skilled Nursing Facility. This position will focus on ensuring the facility is meeting HIPAA requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Copy 24 hour report to all departments
Input telephone orders
Organize charts for new admissions and enter into EHR system
Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts
Run MDS due and completed reports
Organize discharge charts
Review all treatment and medication books and update physician orders
Other duties as assigned
