Specific Responsibilities

  • Gathering, sorting, and processing of Industrial waste materials in preparation for use - both for production and development purposes.
  • Preparation of vitreous China batches, foundry materials, bathtub scraps, and resins for casting of lavatory sinks.
  • Forming - Casting resin lavatory sinks within plastic molds.
  • Transport of molds and finished ware.
  • Finishing & Inspection - dry finishing, sanding, painting, shaping, hand coating.
  • General cleaning and maintenance of Waste Lab.
  • Follow department safety rules.

Skills/Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on as a craftsman and must be capable of learning new crafts and must be capable of learning new craftsman skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly.
  • Must be capable of basic math and written communication in English.
  • Must be prepared to work closely with others in a team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with ambiguity.

The hourly range for this position is $28.25 - $35.30. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
