Specific Responsibilities
- Gathering, sorting, and processing of Industrial waste materials in preparation for use – both for production and development purposes.
- Preparation of vitreous China batches, foundry materials, bathtub scraps, and resins for casting of lavatory sinks.
- Forming – Casting resin lavatory sinks within plastic molds.
- Transport of molds and finished ware.
- Finishing & Inspection – dry finishing, sanding, painting, shaping, hand coating.
- General cleaning and maintenance of Waste Lab.
- Follow department safety rules.
Skills/Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on as a craftsman and must be capable of learning new crafts and must be capable of learning new craftsman skills.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly.
- Must be capable of basic math and written communication in English.
- Must be prepared to work closely with others in a team environment.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with ambiguity.

The hourly range for this position is $28.25 - $35.30. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
