The Platform Application Analyst is responsible for the ongoing operations and administration of applications and systems used to connect Members and US Eagle employees, primarily the service desk, change management, CMDB (Configuration Management Data Base), ITSM (IT Service Management), intranet, and external website. Responsibilities include participation in software configuration, maintenance, upgrades, patches of all assigned applications, installation, and back-up for knowledge administration and custom programming support.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Responsible for application administration, customization, upgrades, releases and patches to internal service desk, change management, CMDB, ITSM, intranet, external website, and other designated application systems. Also ensuring adequate testing and training when needed.
Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine hardware and software functionality and compatibility with current systems.
Responsible for evaluating, troubleshooting and resolving issues of a higher technical nature, both routine and emergency, ensuring root cause is identified and documented.
Coordinating and liaising with IT groups and other relevant business units regarding system changes. Research proposed changes and effectively communicate system parameter options and capabilities to all stakeholders.
Works with Information Technology, Outsourced Development Vendor, Project Managers, Business System Analysts and others to coordinate implementation of projects affecting assigned application or system.
Responsible for ensuring periodic programs and processes are run correctly and as scheduled for all applications and systems.
Provides Tier 2 technical support to other departments within the Credit Union for assigned applications.
Works with business unit leaders to ensure employee access and privilege levels are appropriate and consistent with the information security program.
Responsible for ensuring vulnerability remediation for all applications are completed in proper SLA timeframes.
Utilize IT helpdesk software for incoming work and update the Knowledge Base as needed.
Monitor licenses and service agreements related to assigned applications.
Other related duties as assigned.

Experience:Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills:Experience with Service Now System Administration and functionality. Familiar with Knowledgebase Administration and Management and ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) methodology preferred.

Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision, color vision, and ability to focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the office work environment is typically moderate.
