Now hiring a Quality Control Specialist for a production company in Independence.

Weekly pay ranging between $15 - $19 per hour, depending on experience.

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, usability, and performance.

Job Duties:

Product Testing (25%):

Conduct tests and inspections on products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Test new products to ensure functionality and inspect products for quoting purposes.
Perform daily quality checks, document test results, and report any defects or issues.
Attend PD meetings to discuss new products (Tracker meetings).

Documentation and Reporting (25%):

Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and any corrective actions taken.
Create and maintain checklists for use during QC inspections.
Input Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINS) into master spreadsheets and individual manufacturing supplier spreadsheets.
Organize and update quality assurance documentation and reports.

Process Improvement (20%):

Identify opportunities to improve quality control processes and recommend changes.
Analyze test data, suggest process improvements, and implement approved changes.

Compliance Support (15%):

Assist in ensuring products comply with regulatory standards.
Review regulatory requirements, ensure compliance during testing, and update procedures as needed.
Communicate labeling requirements to our Chinese suppliers for stock shipping to our facility and directly to retailers.

Team Collaboration (15%):

Work with other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with international suppliers daily on inspection reports, labeling, and carton markings.
Coordinate with China inspectors/suppliers to discuss products before inspection.

Additional Duties:

Perform data analysis found during the inspection process and provide details to the supplier.
Back-up for in-house inspections for incoming products and inspecting replacement orders for consumers.
Support in reviewing bilingual artwork for products and participate in truck audits for shipping orders.
Assist with Salsify data entry and quality issue documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as quality management or industrial engineering.
At least 3-5 years of experience in quality control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
