The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for the support of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the Senior Application Engineer will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and translate customer's requirements into exciting new product features. RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop competence in one or more products working independently and be recognized as an expertLeads portions of projects and motivates others towards a common goal.  Displays desire to get involved. Instills confidence in othersWork on-site with customers under minimal supervisionDeliver training/education to customersTranslate customer's requirements into a product featureLearn new tasks and adapt to change, establish priorities, and handle various tasks simultaneously, perform job under pressure or in critical situationsUnderstand a customer’s organization, their competitive environmentIdentify, articulate, quantify, and prove Ansys value to the customerMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience, or PhD Commercial experience with RedHawk/RedHawk-SC and other EMIR tools TCL, Python programming skills        PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExcellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with EMIR analysis (static/dynamic voltage drop), static timing analysis, ASIC Design flow.Passion for crafting robust and efficient codeExperience delivering high-quality support for a large-scale commercial softwareUnderstanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domainGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed teamAt Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
