DutiesAs a Information Technology Specialist, you will:Serves as the senior information technology official responsible for overseeing information technology, information management, and
telecommunications operations of the Management and Operating (M&O) contractor for the Pantex Field Office (PFO).Serves as the senior Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Information Technology Federal Official for all PFO classified and unclassified information technology systems that support multiple federal mission essential functions.Serves as the NNSA Sandia Field Office representative for enterprise architecture issues and processes with a focus towards addressing and satisfying government information technology standards and requirements.Represents PFO on DOE/NNSA committees, task forces, or working groups for enterprise architecture issues, policies, standards, guidance, and practices to address DOE/NNSA opportunities, challenges, or problems relating to information technology, information management, and telecommunications.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentSubject to Random Drug TestingMust pass a pre-employment drug test.Favorable suitability determination required.Financial Disclosure is required.Must be able to obtain/maintain a Q level Security Clearance.You must be a United States Citizen.This employer participates in the e-Verify program.Males must abide by Selective Service registration requirements.Compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) governing personal identity which will require that you provide two forms of identification.A one year probationary period may be required.More than one position may be filled from this vacancy announcement. A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-3 or GS-13. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:Experience serving as a senior management official with the authority and responsibility for overseeing Management and Operating Contractor information technology systems and operations; and/orOverseeing the efforts of Management and Operating Contractor information technology subject matter experts across various domains; and/orServing as an organizational primary representative for information technology programs/projects.Examples of Specialized Experience:Perform management and technical, operational awareness evaluations of the M&O Contractor I.T. program and submit findings to federal and M&O Contractor senior officials as a basis for contract performance ratings and process improvements.Collaborate with subject matter experts in IT service management, telecommunications, networking, project management, cybersecurity, and other security organizations. This collaboration extends to evaluating their performance to ensure a holistic and effective approach to IT service delivery.Collaborate with Site and Headquarters organizations, actively contributing technical and operational insights to integrated project teams. In the capacity of the Field Office IT Program representative, act as the liaison between different entities, ensuring alignment of IT strategies and goals with project objectives, and fostering effective communication channels to optimize project outcomes.Your application and resume should demonstrate that you possess the following competencies.
