Responsibilities:

Conduct weekly face-to-face mentoring sessions with clients.
Conduct home visits to provide support and assistance.
Assist in medication counts and ensure adherence to prescribed medication regimens.
Conduct random toxicology screens (via urine samples) or coordinate with alternative facilities for toxicology screening.
Provide life skills support to clients, including resume building, scheduling, budgeting, organizing, goal setting and tracking, job support, personal accountability, and follow-through.
Engage in recovery-related activities with clients, such as exercise, meditation, grocery shopping, 12-step meetings, and community development.
Provide phone support to clients, offering guidance and assistance when needed.
Maintain ongoing communication with the case manager to ensure a coordinated approach to client support.
Document all mentoring sessions, interactions, and any noteworthy information.

Qualifications:

Availability to gain supervision hours from a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for any hours required for licensure and ongoing schooling.
Additional Information (optional):

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of and experience in substance abuse treatment and recovery.
Familiarity with community resources and support services.
Ability to establish a supportive and trusting relationship with clients.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated commitment to client well-being and personal growth.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual clients and changing circumstances.
Ethical and professional conduct in line with relevant industry standards and regulations.
