Administrative Assistant

This position is full-time, temp-to-hire, $17-18.50/hr. DOE
After hire on eligible employees enjoy an annual generous benefits package of paid time off, 10 hours of paid volunteer time, fourteen paid company holidays, $6,300 toward health benefits as well as fully funded employee dental insurance, disability, and life insurance upon successful completion of their sixty-day probationary period. In addition, the option to participate in a company-matching Simple IRA Plan is available following two years of employment. Annual Incentive Bonus rewarded upon revenue goals being met, eligibility requirements apply.
Primary Responsibilities
* Greet clients and walk-ins in a friendly and professional manner.
* Provide excellent customer service via in-person appointments, telephone calls, and e-mail
* Courteously answer and direct phone lines
* Maintain timely and accurate notes and records for all client interactions in BIA CRM
* Schedule appointments and light filing
* Process incoming and outgoing mail
* Scan paper documents into system, enter relevant data and forward as needed
* Maintain breakroom, make coffee, and order office supplies
* Open and close office Monday through Friday
* Complete projects as assigned
* Attend all trainings as assigned by Lead
* Collaborate with insurance carrier partners to effectively service agents
* Accurately process and post agent commissions received from insurance carriers
* Work closely with area agents on carrier contracts, licensing, and certification
* Provide online and in-person contracting and commissions support for licensed insurance agents
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Minimum of two years of professional office experience, health insurance industry preferred, not required
* Pass drug screen and background check
* High school diploma or equivalent degree required; college coursework preferred
* Detail-oriented and have a high level of proficiency with data entry
* Comfortable processing paperwork ensuring data is accurate and HIPAA guidelines are followed
* Advanced computer skills, including MS Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook, and search engines
* Ability to quickly learn new computer programs
* Effectively follow manual processes
* Excellent ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English and communicate clearly and professionally
* Excellent people skills and comfort working in a team-based office culture
* Must be self-motivated and confident with a high level of problem-solving abilities
