Hamilton Medical is looking for a Maintenance Repair Techician who will work under the supervision of the Maintenance/Facilities Manager. This is a broad role that serves all departments across the facility and will have duties and obligations of supporting various equipment in operations, facility maintenance and repairs, upgrades, and projects as required.

The hours for this position are 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Other responsibilities include:

Complete repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance necessary to for proper operating condition of production and facility equipment
Prioritize and perform preventive maintenance tasks as defined by CMMS software, and maintain timeliness of tasks due dates. Coordinate with production and planning teams to minimize work stoppage
Apply and enforce all safety procedures and precautions necessary to prevent equipment, environment, and facility dangers to company personnel
Maintain accurate, organized, and sufficient inventory of spare parts and items needed for maintenance and repair of equipment. Coordinate with purchasing as needed for keep optimal stocking level
As needed, support janitorial staff with removal of operations recyclables and waste
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to creation new or updated preventive maintenance tasks to improve reliability of production equipment
Responsible for achieving required machine up-time to meet production targets
Excellent communicator with operations teams throughout the downtime recovery process, as well as creating post-downtime summaries
Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations personnel, and Leadership teams
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machine related issues, while minimizing downtime
Must have knowledge and experience to complete repairs on basic machine shop equipment
Must have a working knowledge of safety procedures and precautions to prevent equipment and facility dangers to personnel and self
Must have working knowledge and experience to support facility repair and modifications.
Ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
Demonstrate an aptitude and desire to develop maintenance skills and repair techniques
Position includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places or exposure to chemicals, and periodically working outside throughout the year
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as bend, stoop, climb, and reach
Knowledgeable of SDS sheets as they pertain to daily activities
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in industrial plant maintenance preferred
Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion Preferred
