Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Field Services and will work in a hybrid model. This role involves day shifts and does not require travel. The candidate will contribute to the company’s mission by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
Travel is required within 50 miles of site within NYC and will be reimbursed as per policy.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for field services to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of system hardware and software.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system functionality.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
- Implement security measures to protect company data and systems from unauthorized access.
- Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use the systems.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies to improve system performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all technical activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Support project teams in the design and implementation of new systems and technologies.
Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science information technology or a related field.
- Have 1 to 2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role.
- Demonstrate expertise in field services and technical support.
- Show proficiency in system installation configuration and maintenance.
- Exhibit strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Have experience with system performance monitoring and optimization.
- Display knowledge of security measures and disaster recovery planning.
- Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate documentation.
- Show a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Be familiar with industry standards and best practices in systems engineering.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical issues.
Good to have skills:
- Customer service skills
- ServiceNow or any other ticketing system to supervise tickets
- Inventory management
- Good track record of work
- Willingness to learn and follow client procedures
- Good work experience on Microsoft devices like Surface Laptops and Surface Pro
Required:
- Follow Safety protocols required at client place (e.g. steel toe shoes, helmet when visiting sub locations etc.)
- Follow the processes and compliance
- Lift up to 50lb of weight
Salary and other compensation:
- Applications will be accepted until November 15, 2024.
- The annual salary for this position is between $50,000 to $59,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
